Very bad gas milage on my sled

Damn dude, if your not gonna be accurate when you fill your fuel, then don't post on here and waste peoples time with ridiculous threads, you have 38 miles and 345 posts. Everyone on here said fill it Completely up and get your mileage also you need to get the sled broke in, and ride, ride, ride.

Really, Why didnt you fill it up and figure out whats going on? Stop waisting everybody's time.

Are you kidding? If he thinks his sled has a promblem why wouldent he fill it up and find out whats going on, instead he puts in 4 gallons. Come on its common sense. Not trying to be mean but use alittle common sense.

Did you guys ever think I cant ride? And I couldnt bring the sled to a gas station. So i got the two gas cans I own and filled them up. Which was 4 Gals. I filled it up once and i got about 38 miles and the fuel light came on. Tuesday we are getting snow so if we get our snow I am going to fill it up then go on a trail ride and we will see what the MPGs are then. How is this thread waisting everyones time? Again is it my fault I cant "ride, ride, ride" Because lack of snow? And as for as having 300+ posts and only 38 miles now 41 miles is because no snow so I am going to the next best thing,Which is sled sites!

Whats your address I will send you two, 5 gallon cans for fuel. Or just send ya $20 and you can buy some. Are you serious you have two, 2 gallon gas cans and thats it. Not trying to diss on ya but, man. Also If I'm following you you filled it up but with only 4 gallons then got 38 miles of fielding riding/ wfo. Thats actually pretty good then.

NO offense but you put alot of BS post on this site. For someone that only has 41 miles you sure do have alot of complaints. There is snow you have to trailer like the rest of us to get to it. :o| :o| :moon:

I love my Nytro,I dont complain unless its a big deal. As far as having my gas cans,I need them to get to the gas station thats it. Thats even if I need them,I could not ride to the gas station today so I got my cans and got as much gas as I could in them. If I filled it up it would be the SAME riding I have been doing,As I said in the starting post, I FILLED IT UP and I only got 38 miles on it. I explained what type of riding I did as well. Totally Yamaha is great, but on this thread I had to make sure I wasnt on HCS!

K.... I have to agree here, this is not HCS but give it sometime to get the sled broke in.... it will be just fine.

when you finally get out there and ride. I bet you will get "close" to 100 miles on a tank. but i have to kindly agree you are gonna have to get out and ride. the sad part is yeah you may have to travel. these nytros are good sleds IMO they need some "tweaking." Follow some of the suspension setup tips on this forum and i believe you will be 85 percent happy!!!

Oh yea and my warmers dont work! Now its cold,When it was in the 20s and 30s they were almost to hott,Today it was cold and windy and they gave me next to nothing for heat!

So far I am about 95% happy,Only thing I dont like is the darting and pushing!

Darting, well if you have stock skis you are gonna have to shim them. pushing in the corners. i took alot of preload out of the front shock on the skid and turned up the compression on the rear shock of the skid and i would pull up the front limiter strap to at least the 3rd hole. im no wiz kid at this but with asking around this is what i did to the rear suspension

the front i have changed and works alot better but im only about 80 percent happy with the front. so i need some more tuning on that

I have the short-track standard FX Nytro. After a day of riding in 2-3 feet of powder, I get approximately 60 miles per tank. After a day or riding hardpack trails, I get approximately 90-100 miles per tank. The sled has about 500 miles on it.
