Going to try to make it this year but there are no guaranties with my work. Assuming they will be running in the grass drags it will be exciting to see how they stack up vs the Nytro and the other sleds. Also hoping to figure out what's coming on them for skis . I've heard tuners and I've heard cat skis. Might look for a cat tunnel bag when I'm there but not much else. I mainly just want to see it again, been a long summer!!!

lol. You can tell you're a sledder ... Most of the people I work with are complaining that we still haven't had a real summer! Hope you make it to Haydays. Saturday looks to be the day for a TY gathering (2:00 at the Yamaha Tent) ... it would nice to put a face to the moniker.

Has anyone heard weather or not we might actually get to see a production viper at hay days?

I've been wondering that too. Hope they don't just bring one of the prototypes we saw at the sneak peek and demo rides. I wanna see the build quality of an actual production sled. If they don't bring a production Viper to Haydays, it'll have to be on a showroom floor. but if that turns out to be the case, it'll only reinforce a lack of consumer confidence IMO, as you have to think that Yamaha understands the importance of getting this sled out in front of one the largest gatherings for this demographic in the world. If they miss this opportunity, to me at least, it suggests they don't have their act together with this sled (yet).

I was also hoping to see a full production sled at haydays but no luck. All of the vipers were the same ones we all saw and demoed last spring, they even went to the trouble of plastering all the vipers with stickers that told everyone they were all preproduction prototypes. Little disappointed they couldn't of had one or two there to see what we are actually getting, who knows I hope that isn't I sign of things to come for the guys that are waiting for their new vipers, if they are going to have to wait even longer.

I believe the production ones are right on schedule. I heard end of October again this week so that is right in line with what we all have heard all along and very close to the AC 7000 Production schedule. For majority of us it will be just right and give a little time to go through things before snow. For the rest I can only imagine having snow and no sled. Hopefully it will be worth the wait!

Talking with the yamaha folks at haydays yesterday, it sounds like production will start in two weeks and dealers should start seeing vipers show up the end of the month.

Made the trek down there yesterday, was s hot SOB for sure. The rep told me to expect middle October/ November for delivery. The red RTX up front had a different seat then the demos I rode, it fit much better up around the gas tank area which I was glad to see, actually it fit better then the cat seats I looked at. Was pretty happy with the look of the red one I ordered, yesterday was the first one I had seen in person. Still wish they had offered a blue one with a black tunnel.
