Here's some, I decided to just keep the plastic black.

I had the Skinz front bumper...Needless to say I did not like it! Took it off and went with the Racewerx and love it....IMHO the Racewerx is the way to go...
Why did you not like it? I mean after putting it on its solid, super light weight, and has many places to grab comfortably ahold of.

Thanks!

I think many of these front bumpers are too far away from the front, looks like they are hanging of the front, if you know what I mean? The Yamaha Sports Bumpers looks to sit a lot closer to the plastics, but I'm not a big fan of that one either :D This one from Skinz looks to be one of the better ones.

I like the look of the Timbersled front bumper for the Nytro, haven't seen anything similar for the Viper, so might as well make one myself :D

I added the Yamaha sport bumper to my sled, and really like the look and functionality of it, with the exception of the fact that I now have to take the bumper off to get to the two screws on the nose of the sled for removal of the hood! I know that it may affect the protection that it provides, but I am going to drill access holes in the bottom "plate" on the bumper that covers those screws so that I can get to them without removing the bumper. I can just see trying to get the hood off while I am on the trail to replace a fuse, and having to take the bumper off when it is -20 or a blinding snowstorm.

Wow I did not notice that on my dads sport bumper the skins has two holes in the bottom for screws

You know, you would think that it would be the exact opposite; you might expect that the aftermarket guys would get it wrong, but Yamaha should know their sled well enough to know that there needed to be access holes on the sport bumper!

I have the Yamaha Sport bumper and I can take my hood off with no issues.

Just did not like the way it mounted and it really didn't seem to protect much...The Racewerx is a much better constructed bumper and gives a lot of protection on the bottom. It mounts so much more solid as well...

I have the sport bumper and there are access holes that allow you to remove those screws with the bumper still fully bolted on. Are you sure there aren't some half round holes on the edges of the bottom plate where the screws are in yours?

Hmmmm
I'm on my second one but both had holes for those screws. But I'm leaving the screws out. 1st one held up nicely for what was hit. Protected the sled perfectly

I had my sled up on the lift, so I had a pretty good view of the area, but now you have me wondering if I missed something!
I will check my sled tonight, but I am pretty sure that the bottom plate was "solid" with no holes, or half-round holes that would allow access.
I had to go check. There are two layers of metal; the top layer (closest to the sled) has "u" shaped cutouts directly under the screws, but the bottom layer that is welded to it is solid. sport bumper.jpg
Sorry about the picture, it is 90 degrees off, but you can see the two "u" shaped cutouts on the top layer, with solid metal underneath.

Unfortunately, my cutouts only go through one of the two layers of metal! I guess the moral of this story is that if you buy the sport grab bar, look to see if it has the cutouts before you mount it on your sled. Definitely not a great example of "quality control"!
