Viper to nytro oil tank swap.

How high the oil level is in relationship to the engine is not so importen since it's two oilpan in the engine. The one for oilfeed is closed to the rest of the engine, just another "oiltank". The oil level is actualy not so much higher in a nytro its more inline with the engine! Try to lift your sleds front high up and you will se how low the level now is compared to the engine, that level will barely change in a nytro since its more "inline".

There is probably more to the problem than just being able to feed the engine with an adequate oil supply. If the scavenge circuit cannot get the oil back to the oil tank the pressure side will run dry. Because the Viper engine is tilted back further in the chassis I suspect the oil that should be picked up by the scavenge pump pickup is migrating back into the lower crankcase at severe angles and starving the scavenge pump, and not going back to the tank.

I have also here of guys running oil level higher in there tanks. I believe that was another update from the 14-15s. Where now they use dipstick with is shorter and the sight glass. But yet I still ran into problems with my oil right on the full mark. Could a guy put more in yet?

It wont help because the rate the scavenge pump flows is what determines the level in engine. That pump can flow a huge amount of oil. Way more than oil tank could supply even full to the top. I agree with Mountaintech. Its the angle of engine. Pickup for scavenge needs adjustment. Another thing to watch out for is eventually with high enough oil level in tank when motor is off that oil can gradually seep past the checkball for pump and fill crankcase to the point of seeping past rings. Hydrolock. When starting. Seen it happen on a few bikes and ATV's with oil in frame. Is a fine line.
