So 556 + 8 more gallons of fuel = 620 LBs

If I remember correctly my Apex is =690 LBs full of fuel

Does this sound about right ???

I haven't decided if I'm impressed or not ?

Hey Dennis. If you read this. HOWS THE BEEF ??? LOL

Add Fox Evol shocks +4 lbs, add Tunnel bag full 20lbs, add rider + 200 lb ..............ADD TURBO - WHO CARES :die

My Rush is only like 475 and when its stuck I sit down and wait for passer by

So it is heavier then a Nytro??

http://www.snowmobile.com/manufacturers ... -1074.html

Or is that for a long track? I see they show 522 for the Nytro here +Gas= 571lbs aprox, or am I missing something here? I know this is dry weight compared to that D&D weighed sled. I also know the viper will be a better weight balanced ride, have a smoother suspension stock etc, but I thought these were going to be ballpark the weight of a 1200 doo... whithin say 10-15lbs?

Of course I am going off of propaganda weights,a nd ry weights, but something seems off

Thank God!! Last thing I need to hear from Ski doo guys is more crap about weight, while I'm watching thme get pulled UGH

Hmmmm wow I think it is getting time to play the weight loss game hahah
Challange accepted Yamaha

NOT EVEN CLOSE, see this weigh in and pay attention to weight after ridden.......

Snowmobile weights

But please take into consideration it wasn't the weight that made the Nytro a pig it was how high the weight was on the sled. I cut a Nytro down to 541 wet (yes it can be done but costly) but it still wouldn't outhandle my Phazer because the existing weight was too high. The Viper has solved most of that issue.

So using the weight and capcity of fluids listed above the dry weight of the sled in the pic should be around
shown wet 556
coolant -10lbs approx
eninge oil - 8 lbs
2 gallons gas -12.4 lbs
chain case oil -.75 lb
shock oil -2 lbs (rough guess)
battery fluid -3 lbs (rough guess)
fluid total 36.15 lbs
Dry weight est 519.85, (sounds about right).

I'll be putting mine on a diet as I can afford it. I'm thinking that if I can get the 2 gallon wet weight to 500 lbs or slightly less, then the dry weight should be in the 460ish range which is fairly close to the Cat and Ski Doo mountain sled weights. With the reliability of a four stroke. ;)!

I like the way you think Mtnviper. I think there is a lot of easy weight to pull out of the viper. In the hood alone I am guessing 10-14 lbs, (if any of you have held one you will know what I am talking about)
light weight battery, and a exhaust system, and headlight delete...those three things could drop you down 22-27 lbs and not break the bank.

Yeah, I agree looks like we'll have some choices for those looking to shed some weight out of they're sled ;)!
I already have the Lithium battery which is good for 11lbs. It's going to get a 153" powerclaw which will add some weight.
I'm going to pull the sway bar and install a 38" front end to help with side hilling and save some more weight at the same time.
Then from there, maybe some BDX rear arms (-4.5lbs), hood and or exhaust. From what I understand, the M1100T guys are telling me theres another 8lbs to be had by removing the reverse set-up. I guess it depends on how attached I get to having reverse, before I decide to remove it!
