Went up to UP Michigan and it was super cold up there I tried startin my VL it would turn over but not start. Could hear the fuel pump run when i turned the key but wouldnt pop over. I remember someware on here that theres a relay that messes up when its cold but have no idea where its located. I dont know if it would matter but i trailered it without covering it any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try boosting it of something else to get the motor turning faster.

Other than that, it might be the relay that powers the spark.... If the fuel pump is pumping and there is gas in the tank, then it must not be getting spark.

If it is turning over it shouldn't be the relay - probably a weak battery. I think my battery is pretty well shot now after five seasons because it does not start without a lot of cranking. BTW, the relays are near the battery and sometimes they do freeze up and need to be warmed but eventually replaced. Is there a relay for spark - I don't know?

Replied in the other thread about the cold weather update. It could be that or the battery. Was it turning too slowly? I'd suspect the battery first. IIRC, without the update, the ECU waits for a certain amount of oil pressure before firing. The updated ECU lets it fire earlier.

Hy moose ya i am. Was up north and thought my battery was good but anyway ya it would crank over real slow but not fire. Fresh gs , seafoam and it wouldnt pop over and my dealer is of no help :drink:

Ya, I would suspect the battery first if it didn't have this issue before.
