I'm curious to know of those that have had the w-arm in the rear skid break/crack, how many had their anti-bottoming stoppers removed prior to?

I have them removed on mine, but haven't taken a major hit yet either. I was considering having some steel gussets welded in to re-enforce the w-arm like some others have. But if I hear back that everyone thats seen their w-arm break didn't have the anti-bottoming stoppers in....I may just try re-installing them to the softest setting and just deal with some of the kick-back they produce.

If however some of you did have them in and still broke your w-arm, I might as well just have the re-enforcements welded on from the get go.

I did notice at the end of the season that I had cracked my W-arm. I do have the stoppers in at their lowest position.

Had the stoppers in the soft position.

No matter. Deep breakage.

I got my skid out and apart right now, going for parts in J-town this week. You are welcome to come over and view the carnage if you like.

Bring swim trunks and some beer.

Yeah, sounds like I had better have the reinforcements welded in then before the season starts.

Thanks for the invite, have to take a rain check though. Headed up to a buddies camp on Bald Mt. Pond in Bald Mt. Pond TWP for the weekend. Can only get there by boat in summer or sled in winter. It's an annual thing I try to make every year.
