What kinda track are you getting? I've been wondering if a rip saw 2 would be a improvement over the rip saw? Also been wondering if a 1.5" lug track can be jammed in not thinking so but will be studying that very close this summer perhaps a custom exhaust could create some more room. Good luck with the 2015 Etec

Going with Rip saw 2 with a 1.25 lug. 100 ish studs in the middle. I just noticed that when I bougth the sled the track had some torn lugs and such so I am sure I was missing out on some traction there. Should be much better now hopefully. Love the sled not a complaints I just get obsessed with Idea's of improvement and competing with a guy who bleeds snowmbiling and makes 5 X more money than I do....Its hard to keep up lol He doesn't spank me thats the thing the sleds are very close I just need that little extra edge lol HE can't pass me in the twisties naymore which is an improvement over my 2006 the handling is so much better but my 06 would pass his 13 and 14 etecs all day long in a straight. My 2011 is a way better handling machine than my 06 and Is more comfortable.

Well interested to hear your findings I've got a rip saw with 3 studs per bar for a total of 153 I think. Have yet to run a brand new ETEC but I'd be surprised if I was in the rear beat up on a bunch of Axys this year which was fun running with 7 guys on Polaris up in Cochrane for 4 days they all wanted to run the fat slow 4 stroke Apex lol!

Is that 115 speed gps or speedo,at any rate that is good speed, its hard to believe the new e-tec is running that fast,my 08 rev 800 xp was only good on snow for 108 gps and ice only 113 gps speedo was reading 120 on my old doo,for the 113.I see 10500 consitently I have 185 km/h pretty much top speed on a road with 1 inch of snow and consitent 160km/h on groomed trail. Seems on par with other Apex's. My buddies 15 etec is getting a little more top end and better launch than my Apex consistently. Bottom end torque is where I think this clutch kit will help and where I need it in a drag race.

of course I ran them they all wanted to beat me but it didn't happen. The Axys is faster then the older 800 platform but its still not enough very close race till about 80 mph then I just pull away every time. In that group there were 2 new Axys one short track and one switchback the other sleds were 2014 and 2013 switchback's and rushes. The Axys switchback was the closest sometimes he would jump me sometimes we were dead even out of the hole but everytime at 80ish I'd be in front and just continue to walk away. My sled is not stock though I have the Ulmer clutch kit, PCV and intake mod and geared 23/38 which I think is to low cause I'm digging a hole to China most times. I'm thinking about going 24/38 or 24/39 will have to look at that a little bit over the summer as well I guess it's not totally fair as they were more then likely stock but what they don't know won't hurt them right!!

That's 111 gps,and is very good speed on snow, are you studded, have a large windshield on,believe it or not, more times than not,a tall and wider shield brings more top speed, why because it shields you,and becomes more aerodynamic, when a body is hanging all over a sled,it makes more of a sail effect than a smooth windshield,we have proved this time and time again,on radar runs, over 1500 feet more like 1/2 mile runs.115 speedo

No. The true test will be next week if I can line up with the etec see if it's any closer. Need to stud the track.

Exup adjusted sled flies now! 176 km/ hr on groomed trail! Lifting the skis on take off no studs yet. That's better.
