Running a 300 hurricane tune with no leaks on the intake or exhaust side.Running stm weights at 84 grams.I am trying to find a way to hold the wastgate back so I can reach 20 psi before it opens. It is taking about 4 seconds to reach 18.9 psi .Running 660 ft snow drags .I remove the wastgate and at 5 psi it starts to crack open. What is the spring pressure on the stock wastgate on a sidwinder ?thanks

The stock waist gates seem to vary 5 psi crack pressure is on the low side. You could shim it a bit, put a washer under bracket on each mounting bolt to pretension the spring a bit. Also are you sure no boost leaks? Are you running a header? You could also purchase the dual port waste gate TD and Hurrince are selling that will control boost better with matching tune... but pricey.

My waste gate cracks at 10PSI when I checked it before. 5 PSI is way low. Wonder if the spring is broke inside.

how about using the bolt that td sells for semi locking the waste gate ?The stock waist gates seem to vary 5 psi crack pressure is on the low side. He could for 660. I would want to test with c16 and or start with locker out at least 80-90tho. I have only tested a couple of waste gates so not 100% sure but found about 6-7 psi crack pressure. His spring is on weak side it seems, would still think would get to target of 20. My bet is a slight boost leak combined with weak spring. And if has header all this is a different story.how about using the bolt that td sells for semi locking the waste gate ?

Are you sure you have no boost or exhaust leak? Mine makes full boost in less than 1 second I think, gotta double check some data logs

I just did a leaking down again and no leaks on both intake and exhaust. The only air I can feel is what is coming out of the exhaust were the wast gate goes back and forth.I did 5 runs and all showing the same on the gopro. It takes 4 seconds to reach 18.9 psi.Is there anybody running the 4 port controller solenoid and turbosmart 1wg-75 with twin ports that Dave herricane sell? What spring crack pressure are you using ?thanksAre you sure you have no boost or exhaust leak?
