Hey guys finally got around to getting this thing installed. The hose splice cost me like $10 off Ebay and the gauge was $50. Pretty happy with the outcome. My temp light comes on at 212 degrees on the gauge, is that pretty much what everyone else is seeing??? Now we just need snow.

I never liked that my nytro ran that high.
Venting the hood in some spots and I'm now running average below 180°.

The temp shown on the gauge in the picture was after warming it up good trying to get air out of the system after the gauge was installed. Was also looking for the temp light to come on so I knew when it did. No idea what temp it normally runs at we have no snow and just put it in. Screwing around the yard about 180 seemed pretty normal

Before venting... If you ever idle for a few min. and get it up over 200° It often took alot to bring the temp. back down. On hard packed or frozen trail it might even overheat. Only soft fresh snow hitting the front exchanger would bring the temp down quickly enough. The trick is to get more air through a rad that is kind of jammed in a dead zone.

Does your koso guage humm or buzz when it's activated?
Wondering if mine is defective- just bought it new.

I have the same gauge in the same location. Mine doesn't make any noise. The highest I have seen mine is 190. That was last week in the U.P. Very cold and lots of ice falling out of the tunnel all week.

ok thanks for the info. I hope they'll take it back and swap for a new one.
