08 APEX. Anyone have a water temperature gauge? What kind and how is the mounting? Could it vibrate off? Thanks

Do a search, you should be able to find a few pics of different types. I have an 07 Apex
with a Daytona digital guage from Ulmerracing, simply velcroed to that pad in the center of the handlebars. Hasn't moved in 7 years.

I have two of the Daytona setups from Ulmer Racing. Works good and good nighttime visibility. There was a recent thread somewhere on this same subjust and there were some cool looking gauges. Do a search.

This it the set up I'm doing in a few days , love that upFrom a fellow TY'er 02ViperMody who recommended this Prosports digital temp gauge, this requires holes to bolt unit on the dash pod however, works great!

Fully installed and wow I love this, what temp should I be running at when warmed up? Mine is in degrees Celsius, I couldn't find the switch wire so I wired the Orange into the low beam shocket on the headlight plug in, also put the ground up there for the gauge. All works well and very happy with the product. Also I habe 50/50 premix coolant and and going to add water wetter after a few test runs .

Myn runs at 160-165F on good trails and 170-180 on crappy icy trails. If you are wondering the temp light comes on at 195-200 (really bad icy logging road)

So I took a run today up across the lake for an hour and it was about 6 inchs of fresh snow and my temp was running 76-80 degree Celsius, to me that seems a little high. Using 50/50 coolant and water wetter, any ideas why so high? Followed ulmers instructions for the placement of the T and sender.

Since you don't have an auxillary cooler, and 6 inches of loose stuff so you may be working a little harder, I would say you should be happy with 76-80. Perfectly normal temperature.

Cooler the temp would drop a bit more
