ohhhhh ur not alone....in SE MN we started out great then i sit and watch the rain for 3 days melt it all...this is second time things have gotten good this winter only to be destroyed by rain.... :o|

I'm not sure where you are in SE MN but we've been able to ride pretty much every day since December 8th. Yes, the rain on Saturday was a little disappointing...if we coulda skipped that we could still be riding despite the January thaw. We're still OK...if we can get 6-8" everything would be good again. Until Saturday, this has been the best winter I've seen in a looong time.

I'm heading to Ely, MN on Thrusday...hope things are improving up there with this most recent snow!

no need to be sorry ;)!

I retract my previous comment, I'm now waiting for the snow to quit before I go for a ride, 8-10" in NE Minnesota and its still coming down. YAY!

they should be out grooming tonight - i think the sticky snow that fell on sunday will setup well with the cooler temps - still heading back to hurley/ironwood middle of feb.

hurley/ironwodd area didn't get any of the rain did they? Got real warm but I thought the rain missed them.

Its been snowing all day here in western wi. Lightly but I'll take it.

Moved up from CapeCod Ma. to Northern NH to get into lot's of snow and peace and quiet with freedom's.
Both are disapearing as I speak..Seems to follow me. Others have the same Ideas. Still better then living down there.

Who are you voting for? Maybe you need to check that out...

I recently sold my sled, so I thought it would be interesting to see how much I've spent in the last 9 years. I did keep all the receipts for sled related purchases. I know...that's y I'm divorced. Anyway, it cost me 2.25 per mile not including gas for truck and sled and lodging.

You guys just need to move closer to the mountains. Cooke City, MT 9where i usually ride is sitting @ 62" (low for them this time of year). Here in Billings, MT we have actually seen more snow in the last two weeks than all of last year. I'm still not riding though because I'm trying to recoup from $8000 in hospital bills (son born 6 weeks early) and an $1800 repair bill for a rear differential in the wife's '03 Ford Escape. Maybe by Pres. Day; I'll have recouped enough to get to ride :drink:
