By the way - how many of these things should go on a 144" track with every other window clipped??

The picture on Kirks site shows a pretty flat top to the bolt. I was thinking they had more of a dome top. I thought the high tip may be to much anyway. Thanks for reply.

On my Apex, I installed the wear pads and they seeemed to help, but what really made the difference was when my dealer swapped out the original track wheels to Polaris wheels that were a larger diameter-when I tilted my trailer, the sled would literally roll right down and out!
One thing to mention with the wear pads, they do wear and if you ride in poor conditions(low snow/sand/dirt) they wear faster-just inspect them occasionally. I had 2000 miles on mine and they looked very good yet.

I have 4800 miles on mine and they look good.
Rotate the track before and after installing the pads and see the difference. Surprising!!!

Here are a couple of pics of the worst pads after 3700 miles. They do wear but 3700 miles is pretty good. The worst wear point on the hyfaxes is down to 14.7mm, they start at 18.5 and the wear limit is 10.5, so I'm 50% down. Pads and hyfaxes were both new at the beginning of '06 season. Definitely worth the piece of mind not worrying about the hyfax. It took 2 hours, a couple of cocktails and a couple of smokes to replace them.

I looked at what Kirk had in there catalog. The picture shows a flat top bolt. I called SLP, they said there's are round on top. What gives?

Dennis Kirk is showing the right thing, I have a package in my Hand right now. They have a very tiny dome that you really can't see in the photo. They work, trust uspistons said:I looked at what Kirk had in there catalog. The picture shows a flat top bolt. I called SLP, they said there's are round on top. What gives?
