i had a heavy hitter setup in mine and worked good in stock form. i was thinkin with noss putting it back to stock as it would go to 9800 and pull up from there.i was thinkin everyone says you get the best top end with stock clutching. Is this the best way to go?

Just add weight to the primary to keep your engine from hitting the rev limiter. I ride a Mountain Apex between 8000 and 12000 ft. I'm running a 60 shot with BPB spring and the heaviest Yamaha rivets I can get. Off the spray it revs between 9800 and 10000 on the spray between 10800 and 11000, but it all depends on your altitude and combination.

Do nothing the over rev will not hurt you unless you hit the limiter. At that point add a little tip weight to your Heavy Hitters to bring it back down

Rx whopper your filters are a little differnt than my ecp filters but mine likes to run 10500 to 10600 for best performance.Last year I did some testing(allways testing)I put all the stock parts back in and took some weight off(drilled through rivits) and got the rpms close,I thought it was slower than the ulmer stup down low but seemed really strong 80+ ,lined it up on brother in laws polaris 800( Hotseat Pipe reeds, cdi who knows what else)and I could barly beat him.Went back to truck swapped the ulmer kit in and easily 5 to 6 sleds faster and pulling away.

Rxwhopper yes im running studs, the rpms I said arent for the nos just what works best for me no nitrous. As the other guys said just keep it off the rev limiter. All the dynos ive seen on nitrous have a very wide peak powerband.

When i touched off my nitrous i dint hit the rev limiter but I need some room and snow to get fuel dialed in plus im not running as big of a shot as you so my rpm increase wont be as much.

i'm running a mountain set-up in mine. rips very well. mountain set-up=14.5 rollers, o-p-o spring, white secondary 53/43 helix. good luck, it took some time finding this. just play around, you wont find it in a box that someone sells. oh this for 23/40 gearing. junkie

i want some error room for loose snow etc. i wanta run about 10800 on the juice. i am not running studs so i think the stock weights might be better. they are not quite as aggressive out of the shoot

thanks turk. i did try a few pulls with the hh setup and it was right at 11000. i could weight them up a bit more and get the r,s down. i am thinkin without picks the stock weights might pull better, also from testing we found they pull the best top end. with the noss, i think thatl be the ticket. you buy a track yet?
