Just like it says, what boots are you using? Do you like them? Why or why not?

I wore LaCross Icemans for litterally 20+ years without cold feet unless it was very cold, as expected. They had zero support obviously because of their age so i bought some Castle boots. I don't think they're "Full on SnoX" but fairly stiff for a lot of support, now my feet get cold every time! Not here to bash brands, just trying to give you a little input. Mike.

I've used HMK boots for the past 5 years. Really like them, very warm, comfortable, and supportive. The only gripe I had with them, was the fact that they were not water proof. When I switched to the Nytro and toasted my left boot plate, my left foot started to get soaked every ride. I was really having a hard time deciding what boot to go to. I liked the Klim's but the weight, and shape didn't appeal. Well as it would turn out, HMK now has waterproof boots, they kept the same boot shape and for the most part design. So that decision is easy. New HMK's it is, now I just have to decide on pro-boa's, or focus.
I'm a huge Klim gear fan, but for boots, gotta say HMK.

Got to love gortex!!!...Dont ask around for opinions on other boots go buy the Klim.......

I have 2006 Klim Adrenalines and 2009's. Get the newer style! Much more durable boot. BUT, even with the lack durability, the old style are a great value. Dry warm and light, with great support. I use my old one's for knocking around in the garage and shoveling snow. Since buying them, I no longer carry my boot dryer, and only carry 1 pair of spare socks.

i do not like riding with ankle suport atm. i use sorrels with the tall full leather upper. my feet stay dry as long as we do not get stuck too often. good to -50c and pretty waterproof for ice fishing as well.
had a set of sorel glaciers. great boots to stay warm in but not waterproof at all above the rubbers. every time i wore them someone would get stuck in a creek or slush so i would have 2 soakers to ride with for the rest of the day.

I have a friend that many years ago forgot his boots so he ran down to the local gas station or Dairy Queen or somethin' and bought a pair. They just said "Warm" on the box! No kidding. We called them the "Warms" and laughed all weekend. They were not warm! So stay away from those also, lol.

Klim or some other Gore Tex alternative. That stuff is the real deal.

Don´t know what has happened to quality of HMK boots? Many sledders at Finnish snowmobile forum are looking different boots because HMKs ´were in pieces after one season...

Wow, that really surprises me. I've gotten 5 seasons with a total of around 13000-15000 miles out of mine. They are still OK, the constant wet left boot for the past two years has taken its toll on the left one, but I'll still use them for plowing and other stuff. Kurt is a good Guy and has always stood behind his products.

Have Baffin and Altimate boots. They are very similar. Prefer the soft leather uppers with lower rubber foot portion. Easy to lace, removeable liners, very comfortable and still fit the footwell of your sled. Good for many different uses as well.
