- 2016 RS Vector XTX 1.25 Lug wifes..2013 RS Vector LTX.. 2003 600 VMax Past Machines 3-2007 Attaks 1-2010 Vector LTX.. sorry no Stinkdoos or poo's cats.
I was looking for a backup sled and my eye caught a 2008 Apex LTX. Delta box II I blieve with FI. What is the differences to the III? My current machines use the III and I do notice the upper idler wheels come out independently without taking down the cross bar with them. My Attak was that way. I like the independent take off for checking bearings etc every year.
And I notice I don't get alot or any ski lift in this Delta III Vectors.

Independent rear upper idler wheels are a Mono II and the wheels with the cross shaft are the Mono I

The front spindle geometry is significantly different with the DBIII sleds. These spindles are outfitted on all EPS equipped sleds. These are the only real two differentiations between DBII and DBIII chassis from a ride and handling point of view, aside from the updated Mono II skid or tipped rail CK skid in the XTX’s. ‘16 + models also “upgraded” to the Singleshit skid.
Slight differences exist in terms of DQR updates and a few things are easier to service as well.

So with Delta III ski lift is minimized? seems so on both our Vectors. 2013 and 2016.

Yes, I find and it is generally accepted that the DBIII spindle geometry keeps the sleds much more planted and predictable when cornering. There is also a very tangible difference (better) in the handling of the three cyl vs four cyl equipped sleds. The three banger is tilted back quite a bit compared to the quad and is several inches narrower which seems to make a very real difference in how they react to steering input. Seems a little far-fetched given the chassis is identical but if you ride the sleds back to back it’s very apparent. I have a ‘16 Ape and a ‘12 Vec in the stable, there’s no question the Vec is a much better handling sled with identical setups on both sleds.

Thinking back My Attaks would have wicked ski lift. I rolled it when I first got it. After moving from a VMax 600. And had many lifts after until I got into this Vector XTX. THanks for confirming about the Delta box and ski lift.
