What do you recommend?

Looking to buy a GPS. Do not know much of anything about them. Please specifie brand. Would like one to check MPH and location.

I got this one....Garmin E-trex legend, about $170 pretty basic but does a great job, mph, mapping, compass..etc. I figured start with one that is more simple and then I'll give it to my dad next year and buy one with more options.

Yep Garmin etrex legend. Great bang for the buck. Does everything I want in a handheld. Use it for fishing and sledding.
