I would like to know if 21/42 or 21/43 gears will work with 86 link chain. Got a new 19 sidewinder comeing soon, my trails are tight and I'm heavy lol, want corner to corner and most drags here are 5-600ft.

I have a good site to figure out chain pitch & theoretical top speed.

Looks like 88 pitch chain but I would try stocker first, especially if its stretched at all.

I was thinking very similar gearing as you, as belt life will be aided, and corner to corner will rock. Cats 24/50 is a tad too low w/top speed around 118.

Thanks dan, tryin to save rotational weight and a few bucks and still be close to the 24/50 ratio.
I just edited post above....I agree brother.

I have a 22 top gear here if you can add that into the equation somehow, since you are sorta local to me at home. I just went back to stock 21, and BTW chain has lots of play now(even with 22)...so you might be golden if you have miles on sled. The hurricane tune definitely stretched my chain last season!

Thought i read that they stretch some, figured the 43 would be pushing it. I think I'm gunna do daves stock pipe bundle too just to keep my racer buds pissed off lol.
