what gearing will make speedo more accurate

So, how far off is the Odometer when grinding off the 2 teeth?

IMO,who cares?..LOL....if anything your ODO is now LOW,so your sled is showing less miles then it really has...also,if you change oil once per season you will be fine..unless you ride a ton of miles....I dont see any reason to worry about ODO reading low.

pic of gear/pickup with 2 teeth ground off....takes about 5 mins to do and costs ZERO!

I don't see how the gear can mesh correctly with teeth missing!! Couldn't it jam in the mating gear as it jumps across the missing teeth?

LOL,this is the MOST ASKED question about this speedo mod....and its ALWAYS asked by people who dont understand how the speedo/pickup gear works...

ITS NOT A GEAR!....(so to speak)......its a pickup/gear...which means the pickup(sensor) that rides next to the "gear" simply is counting the gear teeth as it rotates....so there is no MESHING of gears together as in a traditional GEAR box.

If you dont understand me,then pull off your secondary...look at your drive axle end, where speedo wire goes in and youll see the GEAR im talking about...youll also see the Pickup....then you SHOULD understand what we mean.
