Was looking into putting k&n filters on my 03 RX1. it's stock except for 192 studs and a heel clicker clutch kit in the primary. was gonna piece together what i needed for this mod myself. From what i understand you need to change the main jets and the slide springs as well as put a small breather filter on the crankcase vent hose. wondering what size main jets to use and what color slide springs to use? i ride at sea level to 700' max. i've seen guys say they use 165 main jets but stock is 135 that seems like a huge jump to me but maybe i'm wrong or i'm just used to 2 strokes, this is my first 4 stroke. i see most guys are using silver slide springs but i don't know if these are right for my elevation. any input would be great guys thanks.

You will need the 165's cause the KN-filters are way less restrictive than the stock airbox. The reduced vacuum crated by the KN's requires installing of the larger 165 jets for the engine to draw enough fuel at WOT.

165 MJ's plus RED springs are what Holtzman recomends for that elevation.
I have both for sale if needed. I sent you a PM.

A kit is 165 main jets, sliver CV springs, Filters and crank case filter, Temp 10 plugs. That are CR10-EK and prefilter. ECP sells this kit and it is the best way to go. I have one it rocks. Thanks ECP.

You are welcome Ryan. Glad you are happy with my kit.
Between the yellow, red and blue springs, I had a literal .8 HP difference between all 3 sets of springs. I have kits in stock if you are interested.
