Hey guys, I have my engine out on the bench putting the head shim in and I'm using the one quart of yamalube I have left as assembly oil. I'd rather not go to the dealer and get more when I have to fill the engine.
My question is, what oil are you running in your turbo/supercharged yamaha's? Surely not everyone is using Yamalube..

brad4639,
I switched a few seasons ago to Mobil1 0W40 from Yamalube just for availability reasons. No durability issues, just seems to be using more oil and have to add to the tank more often.

Good to know, interesting that you seem to be using more oil with it, usually a thicker oil (40) will use up less vs. 30 weight.

Yamalube Semi in my MCX 290 Apex. 0-30
I use no oil in a season.
Changed it last night, right up at the full mark before the change.
I buy it by the case.

Do you change out that 20w50 more often? When I ran that in my racecar, I would change it every week..

Yea, 20w50 wouldn't work so well below 0 degrees! Is the engine in that sand rail in your profile pic?
