What Oil?

Not a big enough savings (I think???) to even consider anything else........ 0-40 W Full Synthetic. Oil Changes every 800 miles with my turbo. I have never bought anything but Yamalube...... SO, someone tell us how much money you save by going with another brand of oil???????? I have a connection, so my yamalube runs me $10 a quart for the ester 0-40 full synthetic and like $13 for a filter. Roughly under $50 an oil change. And like I said I bet I change oil more frequent than most.

The dealers near me sell the 0w-40 full syn yamalube for 16 something a liter and filters for like 23 bucks. Even the 0w-30 semi is almost 15 a piece. I get Amsoil for 9 bucks a liter and order yamaha filters online for 15 a piece. The stealership is always twice the price in Canada. At least we have snow though

Well i run Yamalube to! know it works since it was made for the sled, but i know that other brands work to and yeah i think i might swap brand.

Yamalube and service parts is bloody expensive here!
4L Oil full synt 0-40 one, 102 USD translated from SEK.
Oil Filter 27 USD Translated from SEK.

Would love to get better price on the oil atleast since my father sells many other brands (Gulf, Mobil, Q8, BP etc)

Been running Yamalube 0w40 so far. Brother uses it as well as one of his friends. Last spring I paid 13.75/lt for it. This fall it was 14.25. Filters were 18.00 I think.

Thinking of running my Rotella T6 5W40 full synthetic in it this coming year but not certain yet. Works excellent in my quad and my diesel trucks. Half the price again. Meets the API rating but I haven't seen many others using it at all. Not a big fan of buying a bunch of different oils. Nice to keep one or two types on hand.

Yamalube full synthetic 0W-40 is $12.99 a quart at my dealer. Amsoil is $11.49 a quart at the store. $6 isnt enough savings for me to consider switching.

The cheapest I can find the kit locally is 75.99 and they only sell the semi syn 0w-30 kit. It comes with 4 quarts and a key chain. If I can't get my amsoil guy to give me a keychain my next oil change might be yamalube

Now thats a deal! ;)! :jump:

gotta agree with the majority here , its yamy lube 0-40 full synthetic. I lost the drain plug last weekend and sled shut off i didnt know what had happened at first and i re-started the sled and again went about 50 feet and then shut off again, thats when I pulled the covers and found I had lost all my oil. we scrounged around and found enough oil to get back to the trailer. cant say for sure that the yamy oil saved my sled but have no issues thus far with the engine.
