I have an 07 turbo phazer.
I bought a new XM and I don't ride it.
It has a MCX turbo, aftermarket tunnel, extended nytro skid and a 162x15x3 track, and a bunch of other goodies. The sled has 4400 mountain km and is showing its age. Steering is sloppy and it needs a new exhaust, which will cost around $500 to fix properly. I suspect the chain is stretched, and there are a few other little things that need work.
I was tearing it down yesterday and found that both bulkheads should be replaced. I have the parts, so it's only labour.
I have not had any engine issues and the sled still runs well and rips. My plan was to sell it at the beginning of the season, but I didn't get around to it. With the slow season, I don't think I'll have much luck selling it now. There has been a very similar sled in what appears to be better shape in the local classifieds for three seasons now, but I think his price is optimistic.
I also have a heap of spare parts including stock track, skid, complete front end, etc.
With the extent of work required, I'm a little discouraged and reconsidering my options. My choices, the way I figure are as follows:
Part it out.
Save myself the time and effort and sell it as is, as a project for cheap.
Fix it up and sell it for what ever I can get, which may not be much more than as is.
Fix it and sell it in the fall when the market will likely be better.
Fix it and keep it as a spare/loaner, which I don't need or really want, and I don't consider it a very beginner friendly sled.
What would you do?

If you are not going to ride it, I would part it out. You should do pretty good with all of the parts you have and should make more money than selling it complete.

If your parting it out, how much would you want for the turbo.

Hey Moosekid, you should put your location in your profile as per site rules and it's nice to know.
