Sorry to say,but You will have the exhuast problem. Mine started around 6k miles.
I hope this problem is resolve on the 2009 models!
Good day!
Yummy
Mine is has a very small tick when first starting the sled at idle.. Im sure this is whats happening with mine too..
Every sled takes maintance to keep the going.. I doubt they will change the design for this problem.. something has to wear..
I think it's a bad design and it should be changed. Why couldn't it be a solid joint and let the flex pipes do there job. Bearings, slides, idlers, are normal maintenance, but tearing the sled apart every year to change exhaust gaskets isn't right. Now the back-ordered y-pipes. The season is too short to wait for parts. Finished putting my welded y-pipe on yesterday so at least I can ride it, and found the front suspension arm cracked now. Had to weld that in place the best we could. Cracked my slide-rail last year and found a crack in my riding buddies rail yesterday. And we do not abuse our sleds. This is just normal trail riding with over half of the miles in Quebec with no bumps. I would never buy another Yamaha without the extended warranty.
