Hey guys. I need some advice.
Last year I bent my sled pretty good when I hit a railway tie. I was going really slow and my left carbide hooked on the metal railway track throwing me over the front.
Needless to say I had to replace the front bulkhead, I also replaced the upper and lower a-arms on the left side.
So now I have her all back together and something is still not right. I know that the shock is supposed to be centered between the upper A-arm and mine is out.
What could still be bent? The dealership told me that I need to replace the spindle but I can't see how I could bend a big piece of aluminum like that. I can see it if it cracked but it appears totally fine.
Looking for Ideas as to what is wrong. I will post pictures if it helps.
Thanks

Remove one of the spindles and hold it up against the other one...easy to see if one's bent.

FYI, shocks may not be centered in the A-Arm, pretty close but mostly what you're looking for is even spacing from left-hand to right-hand. If the two sides don't match there's a problem. I'm assuming the side that is less centered is the side you replaced everything on, same side that took the hit. Also it helps if you add which year as the 09's were quite a bit different from the 08's in the front end. These spindles will bend, surprising, but it does happen.

Wow guys, I'm surprised that the spindles will bend. I know they break but didn't realize they could bend. I will remove it and check it against the other side. I will post some pics when I have a chance. It's a 2010 RTX SE by the way.

I installed a new subframe on my '09 XTX. After the installation both my shocks were not centered on the "A" arms. They were slightly back a bit, but equal on both sides.
