I'm trying to guess what you are thinking. The cable protector is trashed, but why do you think the problem will be worse if you replace it? What do you suspect is causing the problem? Are those backers on the outside studs sunk into the track, or are they protruding and causing wear on the plastic protector? Has that protector ever been loose and then tightened up again, are the bolt holes now oblong? I would replace that plastic(#85 slider 1) 37. bucks, attach it properly, and if those backers are eating into the plastic( which you should see wear on top), I would remove those studs that are causing the problem.4th wheel kit installed. New outside rear wheels. Track tension and alignment set. Rode a few miles in my yard and everything seems find.
This is the only thing I found that could possibly cause the track damage. The stock adjuster cable protector. Although if I replaced it I would cause this problem to be worse so not sure what is going on.
