Well, went out and tried sledding again. Had some issues with the sled this time. Here's the story:
I recently added a 6" Fly Riser to my sled. Powermadd throttle extension (little box/cable thing that allows for a lot more extension).
The other day i was riding in some powder and laid it on it's side. When i turned it over, the sled had a weird knocking sound so i shut it off. Next time i started it, had no knock but the sled just revved and pretty much sounded and looked like the throttle was stuck pinned. Shut it off before the track started turning.
Next start there was no throttle response at all. You can hear the motor slightly change idle but nothing. I checked the throttle cable (which is my suspision) but the cable still actuates at the motor, you can see the throttle body actuator move.
I truly have no idea what this is, the only mod i've done since it ran perfect was the handlebar risers. I also put in a petcock on the coolant line to the carbs, this was at the advice of the master mechanic at my local dealer (good friend of my friend).
Thanks in advance,
Christian

Sounds like our old buddy TORS is stuck, unplug at the carbs, and bypass it.

Yes it does sound like TORS or the oil in your crankcase all ran away from the oil pickup?
If you do disable the TORS make sure you hook it back up shortly. I lost a perfectly good MSRX becuase I had disabled the TORS and the throttle stuck open and it took off across the yard on its own. I can still hear the sound of the engine and see visions of it zipping across the property without a rider. Not pretty.
