hammer, I put mine in that 40l trunk, that way it will stay in the sealed package til needed, could be years with these clutches! . the BOP skid plate is what came yesterday, not the UNT bracket, new trunk comes today or tomorrow.I have owned sleds since the 70's my last new sled purchase before this one was a 2003 RX-1 LE and I loved it. I had no problems besides carb cleans every year and I am sick of it. Anyway ...I have this new Sidewinder and just pick up a spare belt for it and can' t find the spare belt holder for the life of me! Could someone please tell me where it is located ?

No offense I actually did not know that was how you did it in tunnel bag. I have always found other places besides rear bag. Its a spare not to worried.Same way I stored the spare on the viper no quams with how that worked

he didn't have any toys as a kid .you know what he was playing with .Still don't know how he hooked up with Brigitte Neilson. Oddest match up I've seen.

Is that really a good spot to put it ?I have the belt twisted up and tie wrapped below the clutch.
If your belt partially exploded, I would think that there is a good chance of it damaging your spare as well if you put it in that location. Hopefully, the one on the sled never has to be replaced while out on the trails.
I would put it in the tunnel bag. It really doesn,t take up that much room.

And we get a way bigger bag on the LE than the little "pouch" the viper had could barely stuff a belt in there. No offense I actually did not know that was how you did it in tunnel bag. I have always found other places besides rear bag. Its a spare not to worried.

I would think that if the belt was to go there is a chance that it might damage the spare belt but other then that what is the danger? This was suggested to me by my dealer who said that quite a few viper owners do it this way.NO!!!!!!!beyond dangerous...
BTW i guess i am one of the lucky ones I have never blown a belt.

if you saw the damage from blown belts in the cat forums...the destroyed belt guards and belly pans...stuff comes flying out of there....doing this would be like operating a lathe or drill press with loose clothes hanging over..
put in a tunnel bag...or get creative and make a place under you seat towards the rear
