Thank you to all of you. I am so surprised their isn't a holder on top of the belt guard like every other sled I have own for the past 30 year!

The only problem with that area is a lot of heat escapes from there. It's a good vent area for heat to escape from red hot turbo. Its one reason cat did away with the google bag in there. My phone charger actually melted in the google bag there when I tried it. I'm hoping this Yamaha doesn't need as much venting as the cat turbo's did so it may not be a bad spot. Belt will be flexible and warm if needed.

I too want a spot for my spare belt. Looking at machine I'd say there is plenty of room to put a clip under the existing clutch. I'm thinking of a bag (keep dust off etc) and putting an aluminum protection plate on top so if the belt goes it doesn't damage the spare. If you look at it now, if your belt blows you might very well damage the plastic bottom under the clutch - there is no protection plate like we were used to with the Japan built Yamaha's (plate protected the rad line). Thoughts? Sounds like a nice aftermarket accessory one of the guys on this forum could build and sell

If you look at my last pic the belt in the bag tucks way up in. Hood air duct is actually farther back. There is no restriction of venting not like a goggle bags would.
I don't agree with the goggle bag on any of the 4 strokes. Just seems to trap in to much heat.
