Well I have installed the flexible (cable type) ice scratchers and one set of wheels in stock holes in the inside near the middle gap area where the most wear takes place.

Keep an eye on those scrathers. I'd carry some pipe wrenches for awhile so you can adjust them. I have them. I'll give them a few more tries before I dump them.
