Just installed big venom kit on stock sr viper ltx se. Installed 3 washers in behind secondary and im looking to run an 8dn belt. I have a few laying around for my 01 srx 700. Whats the best belt for top speed?
everyone else is using the 01 since most 00's are long gone. They were slightly different size too right? Try one and see how it works. Maybe that's a edge!

I had an old 00 that was a spare on my apex from 8 years ago or so. Granted it did have several thousand miles on it from a stock apex but I noticed no difference at all in performance, I can say though that it did not hold up to several back to back runs. I've blown a few belts since I put the turbo on (2 8jp belts and 1 8dn belt) but none of them blew like this 8dn 00 did. Cords wrapped all up in the secondary and not one piece of rubber bigger than 1 inch X 1 inch, what a mess!!

I am not a clutch expert by far but why do some guys say to take all the washes out and some guys have to add some? Can someone clarify this for meJust installed big venom kit on stock sr viper ltx se. Installed 3 washers in behind secondary and im looking to run an 8dn belt. When you add more washers the sheaves are allowed to come closer together which makes belt tighter and higher in the sheaves opposite if you remove them.

So adding a second washer would give me less top end? When you add more washers the sheaves are allowed to come closer together which makes belt tighter and higher in the sheaves opposite if you remove them.
No. Its just for belt deflection so once clutches are engaged they have no effect whatsoever on anything. So adding a second washer would give me less top end?
