Turbo v.s Super
Well I'm glad Mike is nailing what I've suspected all along - On snow the S/C must buzz the track more than the T/C - And if I'm reading Mike right, on ice or grass the belt becomes the weak link with the S/C. My sled of course lacks enough power to spine my mother's sewing machine belt. For what my opinion is worth they both have very good advantages and both have small disadvantages - I think Greg makes a good point on the S/C being a more consumer friendly unit and still giving nice gains over stock. Good discussion!

Intake air charge temp is important,,,, take a couple runs without an intercooler set up and you will feel a drop in hp.... sleds with the best intercooler set up do offer perf advantages when you make several runs or long pulls... as for compressor efficiency yes, yes, yes, a matched system is a must.... 15lbs of boost pressure on a matched turo vs. mis match turbo low efficiency system your performance can be significantly impaired....

Ya Ken your right it won't quite run as cool now without the precooler. I also developed a new problem with the mid mount, it spools up too fast (I CAN KEEP THE DRIVERS FROM SPINNING IN THE TRACK WHEN I NAIL IT OFF THE LINE). Oh well a couple of adjustments to the suspension and hopefully that'll be cured. We'll see tomorrow (I'm feeling a cold coming on).

redline is 9300 is it not dyno sheet says 9000-9100 makes best power are you saying the vector dosnt like it there it sure pulls alot harder where iam running it now.i have played with it from 10-15 pounds at differnt rpm & found thats where it seemed to make the best power.how much boost i run dont matter i run the super tips & can move my rpm up or down easily just been trying some new stuff.over 12 pounds i run 100ll.

Vector shift RPM should be around 8500-8600rpm and not 9200rpm. put some more weight in that clutch or that will be a very expensive anchor !

Hey Powderlites can you give us some real feedback on how your turbo is running on the Apex ? How is the fuel mapping etc ? I have not heard a single thing yet. How about tuning, is it very friendly ?

iam not running at 9200 .off the line it comes up to 9000 then drops back to 8800-8900.what is it that makes you say it wont run at this rpm i know thats where it makes the most hp at & you always clutch for hp.not arguing with you guys just doesnt make sens to me.

Apex turbo kit
Apex is working great and I feel that fuel injection setup is the best running out there.
One Apex is running with very big turbo GT25/40R and at 14 lbs boost it beats up RX1 with GT28RS at 18 lbs boost!! Yeeehaaaa
Hope to run high boost this weekend and dail it in up 20 lbs.
Throttle response is better then anything out there.
Guys from Iceland were in Revy testing all the turbo kits and they said they are very impressed and before all they rode was MC rear mounts.
over 20 kits out there now and should be guys talking soon.
Horrible Turbo has 4" intake and spools about 1000 RPM sooner then GT28RS

My powderlites kit is almost done being installed. I will have it out this week sometime and let you guys no how it works. Fit and finish of this kit is excellent! I am running a 28 rs on my apex, and I will be running 14- 15lbs of boost until the new higher boost boxes come in. Thanks again Dave for the awsome turbo kit Rip.

Dave,
Does your Apex kit exhaust out the front ? I see a short pipe
that has an angle cut that looks like a exit pipe from the turbo.
