I'm not familiar with the boss seats, but this firmness reminds me of the ski doo xrs seat or the Polaris pro-x seat, maybe a touch less firm than those.
I looked on the Boss website and all they have listed for Yammy is a seat for the older viper chassis...

They still don't have it on their website...I had to fill out the seat builder for the SRX/Viper seat then specify it was for an Apex.
I was on their case for over a year to build a seat for the 2006-2010 Apex based off their SRX/Viper seat that is so much an improvement for the proaction sleds.
I had called them first then followed up the online order with another call so I was positive they knew the order was for an Apex. I think I definitely got the first one of these seats and maybe the one and only one?
I would think Boss would sell a pile of them. Although pricier, I would rather buy a whole seat so I can go back to stock and sell the Boss if I wanted to. The WRP is a kit using your original seat pan.

I am interested in the seat Scott32 has a picture of. Anyone know if this is purchased or did he do this 'homeade'? Love the look and customization as well as the height.

It's custom. I mated a 2012 procross seat on top of the stock apex seat. A little carving and 3m foam spray adhesive. Then heavy duty skid wrap to keep it all tight. Vinyl work was cut and patterned by me. Black is 4 way stretch and white is 2 way.

That is great idea.
Looks very nice and custom.
Thanks for sharing the process. Now I need to decide if I have the skills to do this!

Thanks. I kept the original cover just in case there is ever a need to return it to stock. Any upholstery place can help ya out if it gets beyond ya. I had alot of good advise from an old pro before i started, and through out many steps. Mother-in-law. Good luck.
