who has a higher aftermarket seat on their Apex.. pics please

Yes , and it is great !
I had a 2006 Apex GT , that I loved, but this 2015 XTX ,is way better .
with EPS and the 144 tipped up back end , It never feels like you can get stuck off trail .
The short track was always getting stuck off trail .

I have a 2014 Vector LTX and aren't our two chassis the same? I sent pictures of my seat (removed) and tunnel and WRP said they don't make a seat that will fit my sled because of the EPS.

Now I'm conflused.....which happens easily!

Do you mean EXUP , and not EPS , as EPS should only involve the front end steering , whereas the EXUP is in the exhaust , which is under the seat .
I am not familiar enough with your sled to know if it is the same tunnel ,but I am pretty sure your Vector does not have the EXUP .

Is this not the seat for your 2014 Vector LTX

No my sled does not have EXUP. Long story short, a TY supporter questioned the accuracy of WRP's fitment chart because a chassis with the EPS system is different in the fuel tank area vs. a chassis that doesn't have EPS.

So I asked WRP for confirmation and they asked me to send them pictures of the tunnel and the seat removed from the sled. I did this and then confirmed that they do not have a seat that will fit on a 14 Vector with EPS.....which SHOULD mean any Vector with EPS.

They said "send us the seat and we'll make on for you". Had they offered me a break on shipping ($120 total for both ways) and some type of break on the seat cost...I would have jumped on it. Why should I help them make money after using me for a guinea pig? I THINK I'm a nice guy but gullible and stupid....nope.

I'm going to find somebody in the region that can build up my seat by 3".

I wonder how many people have had to send back their new seat because it doesn't fit ?
Wonder why they did not remove that model from their list ?
Could you be the first 2014 Vector owner that has tried to buy one of their seats ?
Its too bad they don't , because so many local done jobs , look Bloated , as theirs is perfectly shaped , and the stitch lines are true.
Hopefully you are able to get a good local upholstery shop that uses good foam to duplicate the WRP look , at a more reasonable cost .
I had my seat done on my 2006 Apex GT , and it was only ok , as foam was soft , and it looked bloated .
I cant remember how much I paid in total for The WRP seat that I got in a day ,but I see everyday I ride the sled , how good it looks , and how better the riding position is . To the point that I may put the original seat back on if I sell it , and if I don't need the WRP seat , then also sell it separately .

Not enough demand to bother with changing it? When I was talking to them on the phone I got the feeling I was just plain bothering them

First 2014 (or 2012 & newer) that tried to buy one? Jeez, I wouldn't think so!

I hope I can find somebody good as well. Due to a connection I have I think I have a line on one. Not close to me but I do travel that way and can drop it off.

I've read here that the WRP foam is too soft. While I don't want brick hard, I don't want "mushy" like my seat is now.

I have the WRP seat in my 06 Apex and I have tried a 2012 Apex XTX stock, and found the seat in the newer XTX to be softer than my WRP seat. You should try to find someone who has the seat and try it for yourself. I really like the added height from the WRP seat.

4Strokeluvr, I was one of the ones complaining on the WRP seat being too soft but it turns out they had sent out some bad out-of-spec foams around the time I ordered mine. They sent me a new foam at no cost to me and the new seat is much firmer than the stock seat now. That is absolutely the way to go if you are looking for a taller firmer seat, as I have yet to see a local done job that looks even close to as good as the WRP seat cover.

Jim I may be getting my hands on a wrp seat from a 2011 vector. I want to put it on my 2012, and will see what's involved with modding it to fit. I'm guessing I will have to cut the pan like I did on the mountain mod seat you were looking at before.

When did you order your seat? I find mine is soft also, wish it was like the WRP seat on my nytro! I emailed them but haven't heard back yet.

Ordered it may of 2014.

Thanks, ordered mine in March of last year. Just forwarded my email again.
Can you compare the firmness of the new seat to anything? Say a boss seat? My nytro seat is very close to boss seat for firmness.
