who is riding phazer GT's how do they compare to FX. I am looking at left overs and There is some good deals on gt's I was thinking of a fx but can get a gt for 400 less is it worth it?

If you like agressive ditch banging, i think you should go for the fx. If your not that kind of driver go for the gt with cheeper/not so good shocks as on the fx.

Its much more expensive to uppgrade shocks on the gt than to add gt wind protectors on the fx. (much more than the 400$ you "save" bying the a gt)

Other differances: the gt has better windprotection and different gearing. 20/41gt and 18/41 on the fx but they seems to have the same top end. The fx have a ripsaw track and the gt have the hacksaw, both with 1"lug height.

Just my opinion..

The shocks on the GT may be somewhat of a downgrade, however I hammered the GT through some of the worst late day trail conditions and it was simply amazing.

I had no darting with the Woody's dual runner carbides, but when getting lazy and not throwing in the proper lean, the sled would try to whip me off; one of the strangest kinds of twist torques I've ever experienced on a sled. You definietly need to get a technique down if you're going to ride aggressive.

I haven't ridden an FX, but I don't think you would go wrong with either sled. That said, if I were following an FX on my GT, I wouldn't hesitate to take the same route on a sled with different shocks.

see if dealer will up grade your shocks if not you have to revalve them if you ride hard gt will not handle the bumps when they say groomed trail they mean you have to wait for the groomer to pass and stay on his #*$&@ goodluck i love red and they dont offer it in fx

Another option is to buy the standard and then buy aftermarket shocks.I just got Custom Axis rear and GYTR fronts it had when I bought it.Need to beat on it but have had great luck in past.

-phaze5,

I hate to argue, but you're wrong. The GT handles the bumps extremely well. In fact, the harder/faster you push it, the more it eats them up.

I agree with phase 5.I'm 200lbs and for extreme hard riding the gt is way too sodt for my riding for an average agressive rider it might be fine.

Ryan, you rode them back to back at the demo right?

Another question for you, sort of reversed: Does the FX ride too hard compared to the GT when you're just putting along?

I'll answer that question myself next season when I have both a blue FX and a red GT but that's a long time from now.
