Who knew about our adj. handlebars?

well im going riding in some deep stuff tomorrow

Today on the blue one i adjusted the weight transfer straps to see how those do in the powder

On the red one we have the adjusted handlebars. ill review each of them and hope they both helped out in the deep stuff. I am excited to see if the handlebars being forward helps sidehill any better

You should adjust the limiterstraps on the one with the bars tipped forward too. Minw have about 1/16" of thread left and I have the MPI rear transfer kit (set to their initial setting). I have 2 3/4 " rise (2" Sportech ABR and 3/4" MPI solid block) with my bars tipped forward. My bars aren't the stock '03s though. They were odered through my dealer using the parts list I have on my CD Rom but, they are 1" shorter and 2" wider. I have them forward to where the handguards are damn near touching the windshield when cranked to the stops and the stock cables and brake line work fine.

I would post the pics I have but the add attachment isn't working. It acts like they are uploading but the pics aren't listed.

I put a 1" riser on mine and was having problems with the TORS when I turned the handlebars to the right. I moved the bars a little farther forward and it works fine. I couldn't imagine MY sled working with the stock throttle cable and a 2" riser.

well i went riding today. The powder was about a foot deep. The limiter straps are like a night and day difference. The sled is MUCH easier to play with in the powder. I can carve donuts a LOT easier than before with the straps like they are. They didnt affect me on the trail very much but man in the powder they are awesome. Going up the hills at full throttle the ski's came out of the ground. it was great

The handlebars didnt make much difference on the red one. You could sidehill a little better but it wasnt noticable enough.

We got home and i did the straps on the red one as well. I had the blue ones set to about 1/2 inch left of thread. I changed that to about 1/4 inch, and i set the red one to a half inch.

After reading this post, I went home yesterday and used the Dremmel tool to cut off the rivet. I have to say that the bars are much better now. I can actually stand up and ride now.

I could've popped it off but I decided to make it nice and smooth by cutting it off. You can probably chisel it off too.

Glad I saw this post before my first ride :)
