The 2011 apex has no room to add a Hyfax to the tunnel protectors. There is only about 1/8 inch between the track and the tunnel protectors on mine. The reason some folk are hitting muffler with studs is the the "C" clips holding the tunnel protectors down, flex and the track can then move up and studs hit. If you look at older models, these "C" clips/brackets were much stronger. The common fix seams to be to stop the "C" brackets from colapsing. I put very firm rubber grammets inside my c brackets and have no preblems.
