yea not taking any chances, just going to get a brand new one and ill try to charge the other for a back up. are thes optimate devices chargers too and what is this desulitating stuff about

The Optimate is a charger and it is capable of restoring a battery that has become sulphated. This condition happens when the battery is severely discharged which allows sulphate crystals to form inside the battery which causes resistance to charging.

Perhaps your battery is toasted beyond repair, but I have brought a couple of batteries back from the dead with my Optimate which pays for the Optimate the first time you are able to do this.
