How do you measure the height of the windshields you see in the accessory catalog. Have tried from the point to the top but those numbers don't work out. Want to change the one on my 08 40th anniversary apex but not sure what to get, tall or extra tall ??? Also how do you guys mount the pilot skis on the yamaha, do they just bolt right on, had a 05 Mach Z and liked them on it. Thanks

ZR1BANDIT, I just installed the medium height windshield from the acc. catalog on my 07 attack. That shield is listed at 14 1/2 inches and it ends up being 2 inches taller than stock and the flared sides are taller. The 08 windshield is the same height as the 07.The stock windshield is 12 1/2 inches tall measured from the high point at the center of the cowl just infront of the handle bar riser. With the pilot skis you have to reverse the ski bushings, and i installed a small machine washer on each side of the spindle. The zx rubber bumpers work .

X2 on the zx chassis rubbers. I'm also running the mid windshield. I really like the wider flares. It's not to tall yet still keeps the wind off you while sitting down

I love my Med as well on my 07. Stock one was too cold. I also have the pilot skis I bought as a kit from Pioneer Performance and they are great. But don't steer in tight corners in soft powder as well as OEM's but I like them.
