I noticed that Yamaha has windshields up on there site but no pictures. Does any one know if they will build a higher chrome model for gt? Riverrat.........
no they don't. There are laws agaist it. The taller the windshield is they are required by law to keep X ammount clear.

Here's some info on the windshields that I posted awhile back on a different thread.
As far as windshields for the Apex/Attak models Yamaha has plenty of new bends and designs coming out for them. They will offer the lows like what comes stock on the GT and RTX. They will also offer some of their new design lows that are higher than the GT and RTX style offering better wind protection but yet killer looks. Some have Chrome to Black fading and I believe they will also have a Blue Chrome in that style. They will also have some new design mid heights out that have some Chrome to Black fades on the side and bottom areas with a clear center. Those will look good and offer very good wind protection. I think these will be the hottest sellers to GT owners looking for style and function. There will also be some taller versions in clear with black on the bottom for those looking for the best wind protection available. I am sure that the Yamaha web page will be updating in the near future to show some of the new stuff as the above link shows alot of descriptions. We have many of the above windshields on order it will just be a matter of time till they start arriving.

When our friend got a tall windshield for his Skidoo Mxz, we put a sticker on it - SCHOOLBUS. This Schoolbus stops at all railway crossings.
A yellow sled with a hight windshield looks like a schoolbus.
Fortunately, Yamaha's will never have that problem.

Not to go of topic here but; Kevin, have you heard any word on when the Red Chrome windshield designed for the Vector Mtn SE will be in? I'm excited to see what my silver '03 RX-1 mtn will look like with it on. I noticed you haven't billed my visa yet so I assume you haven't gotten them yet.

I haven't seen a chrome red one yet. All the new style windshields including that one are currently on backorder and have been slated for release sometime next month. As soon as I get my hands on some of the new ones I will post some pics. Hopefully Yamaha will beat me to it and get them up on their website soon.
