I have a 03 RX1 and i am putting those lights on it. The instructions say not to wire to the head lights or battery. They suggest a dash light. Now i really don't want to tear apart all the taped up wires, so does anyone have any other ideas on where to go for power.

I thought you were making reference to these lamps. I just could not remember what they were called. These are LED. They use very little current.

The Blue/Red wire up by the fuse block should do. If you look around, you can pick up the ground off the frame, which is close by. There are already a couple screws in that frame. Apparently, you need a switched wire because the CSS lamp does not have its own Off/On switch. The Blue/Red wire goes to the tail light as well as other places. It should work for you. You may want to consider being careful when you route the new wires to the PTO side of the sled's hood. If the new wires are flopping around inside and eventually short, you may loose the your tail light. But at least that circuit is fused, if you stay on the Blue/Red side of the fuse.

Thanks for the info on the blue/red wire. I'm a stickler for flopping wires. I drove truck for 18 years and can't stand to see wires hanging down and flopping around. Thanks for the help.

Len, I'm looking to connect CSS lights to my 06 Nytro and 07 Phazer. Would the blue/red wire work for both of these sleds also, or do they have a different color scheme.

Thanks!

LB is right. Anytime you tap into a circuit, you add a fuse. This will protect the original circuit, if the added fuse is fast blowing and the rating is small enough. The kit I saw, already had the fuse. But maybe not all of these lighting kits do.

On the Phaser and Nytro, I would tap into the Blue/White wire right after the fuse. The fuse is already 20 Amps, so I would NOT replace the fuse with a higher rating.
