I serviced the chaincase and the adjuster seems to be over adjusting the chain. I have attached a pic of Rockerdan's photo and one of mine. My adjuster is much more tighter on the chain. Installed a new spring on the tensioner with the same result. Any help will be appreciated

Stock gears ?

If Dan had a 22 top in the picture they run a tighter chain. Stock gears are a bit looser .

It’s pretty common to use up most of the adjustment. Most of them that come in with miles on look like yours,

That's encouraging that it's normal. What is the average life of a chain do you think?

I’m thinking between 7 and 10 thousand miles. To be safe. Gears and chain.

Thanks, good to know.
