as an ex nytro owner now driving the apex with ps the nytro needs eps more then the apex does. I used to come home after a hard day on the nytro & could not lift my hands over my head. You gotta drive an eps sled 1st.

I have yet to ride a sled with PS. But have extensive atv use with and without PS. PS "rocks" on ATV's and is the only way to go once you put on a set of tracks. Dont knock it till ya try it...

If it makes the price tag $14000 then no thank you!

Haven't rode one with it yet, but I'm sure it would be a welcome addition. But completely agree with the above quote.

I defenetly would like to have eps on my Nytro.
MTX skis on hard trails= sore rams and shoulders.

Thinks about it this way. If the nytro had EPS, they could redesign the front suspension so combat ski lift, AND everyone could run around on C&A razors or xt/xtx ski's and not complain. I don't see how the slight increase in weight/price would not be worth it for all but the most hardcore riders.

Kinda torn on this one, the apex w/ ps is pretty sweet, dad owns one. but i like the feel of my nytro better. I can feel when my setup is good cuz i feel the skis bite in the turns. dont know if the ps would hurt the feedback to the rider at all. i guess ill need to ride dads a lil more. need some snow in southeastern WI.

I think the main benefit of EPS on the Nytro would be the ablilty to add more ski pressure and still be able to steer the thing on long rides. The more ski pressure I tune in the better it corners, but it becomes hard to hold onto later in the day or night with the extra heavy steering.

I would trade my 09 XTX and buy new Nytro if Yamaha made it an option in the future.

After switching from my freind Apex 2011 and coming back on my Nytro, i saw a huge improvement with the power steering. Like Turk said, the Nytro would benefit alot better with the eps than the Apex. For thoses who never tried the 2011 Apex, go ride with one and then come back riding with your Nytro, and then come back here and share us your experience.
You guys that do not want the eps mostly complained about weight. The only weight issue i see about my sled i feel it in the steering. When driving the new Apex, it feel like a lot lighter sled and that is what i want from my Nytro. Not you?

I put quite a few miles on the 11 Apex last winter at the dealer demo's and I would love to have it on my Nytro. If you are running any kind of larger ski and doing a lot of trail riding in the tight twisties. You would really appreciate the EPS. I loved it on the Apex, so I got one for the wife to ride, and myself for when I need a long distance cruiser. I still love my Nytro with boost for a play sled, but can't wait till they offer them with EPS. Just my 2 cents worth

I just got back from the TY Ride in Houghton and Mr Sled had an Apex with the power steering. It was awesome. Hands down the best sled Yamaha has come up with yet. The sled feels like it was 200 pounds lighter. I drove it over some rough rail grade on the way to Copper Habor. I think you could drive with the bars in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other. What an amazing machine.

I hope Yamaha at least adds eps as an option on the Nytro, though they would probably need to make it standard equipment to keep production costs inline.
