I RODE A STOCK PHAZER ON THE RIVER A WEEK AGO WITH OUT RACE KIT OR 4TH WHEEL. WOW WHAT A DIFFERANCE IT MAKE HAVING A 4TH WHEEL IN THERE. THE STOCK ONE WAS MAKING IT INCOSITANT IN THE CORNER ALMOST LIKE IT WANTED TO DE"RAIL THE TRACK.

THOUGHT I WOULD SHARE THIS WITH THE BOYS THAT MIGHT BE INTRESTED IN PUTING THE 4TH WHEEL KIT.

I'm lovin my kit, my track came off after a huge jump, not any damage though. Now I can launch any thing knowing I have the 4th wheel in there, although I think the track droan got louder.

I put mine in before I even rode my sled. I didn't like the idea of it not being in there, so I would have never known the difference.

The track moved around alot on the 3 wheels, you were smart enough to do it right away, thats what I should have done when I got my sled

Its the very last wheels. The ones you move to tension track.Thankfully I had one when I crashed on a downhill which caused my track to derail instead of ripping track on adjuster or binding up we just pushed it back in place with foot and slight throttle.Never needed 4th wheel on SRX but with only a 1/2" between last wheel and the edge of track on Phazer I think its a very worthwhile investment.

I just don't understand how Chris Burandt could jump his sled in the X-Games with only 2 inner wheels, if you guys are having these problems with 3.

Any ideas?

hAHA THERE IS NO PROBLEM I commented on how nice it is for hard cornners. Chris Burant can hit a ramp straight on. Also guys that race XC cats install 4 wheel kits.

Think about it.With just 2 inners there is well over 2"s of track to move around before the wheels would ever go over the edge. His track has probably derailed and come back in line without him even knowing.Ours if the outer wheels come off the edge its not going to go back on its own.Outers are right on edge of track.Once off.The wheel prevents track from going back on without some persuasion. Its not a big deal.Takes a good hit to derail it but it happened to me so there you have it.

And actually the most important wheels for a sno-cross sled are actually the 2 inners, which is why you see most of those sleds with 4 back wheels.

OK, so the inner wheels keep the track on, and the outers put pressure on the edge of the track for flat cornering. Is that the scoop, then?
