Ok, So I called out to Roger Sewell. He is the Operations/IT Manager at Seat Concept in Idaho.
He set me up with the 2011-2018 Apex Seat Foam only for $140 plus $19.95 shipping. So $159.95 and he expects that to ship within 10-15 days. I hope sooner.
I plan on documenting this install and load it up on www.biff.org, my youtube channel. It's still plenty of money, but much less than $299 plus shipping! If you want one as well, please give Roger a call at 208-417-1726 and ask for him. This is a busy time for them, but he was surprised at the demand for this and was more than happy to ship out this option.
Good luck guys, more to come!

I love my WRP but I was unable to use my stock seat cover... it was just a little too small... I also put a heat demon seat pad in so heated seat for me!!!
One thing you all might want to consider is a lake effects pivot riser... it is the perfect match to the extra height of the seat... I’m 5’11” and now can comfortly ride standing up on my ‘12 Apex Xtx

Did you put in a plug for TY on maybe he should be a advertiser or just give your channel a plug only? LOL

Yes, I did mention that there were others on TY that were interested in this option. Not to pull any business from Barn of Parts as a WRP reseller though. But this option was not available through BOP, or WRP. So I had to go to the source. I tried the supporting vendors first.
I don't monetize my channel, it's info only, so I could care less if it drives traffic. I only put things up there to help you guys. But if nobody cares to see it, I won't document it. And I'm definitely not promoting WRP or Seat Concepts, but trying to address a problem that everyone owning an apex is experiencing.
And yes, Mileage Quest, I have the 2.5" PowerMadd Pivot installed already. I have had that same pivot on my previous Apex and Phazer. It's the most cost effective riser out there for sure. Especially since you can buy it under $75 use stock cables, riser and chrome ring for a factory look.
Good luck guys.

They are a pain in the #*$&@ but every time I have someone else install it I wish I would have done it myself. It will be worth it.

Thank you! I am 59 and 6'1". Only put 300 miles last year. But I noticed some cramping in my hips due to my butt being lower than my knees. That's why I put a high rise Boss seat on my 2001 Arctic Cat. If you don't believe me try riding a Crotch Rocket a few blocks! Now if I can just get the Slingshot and I mean Shot! Suspension fixed. Don't get me wrong I love these sleds. I have owned many Yamaha products over my years. They were up to this point in my life all motorcycles. I was 30 years old when I bought my first sled. Moved to Minnesota when Iwas 30. Grew up riding motorcross on the east coast. I went with Cat because of the independent front end. Now they all have it. Sorry but trailing arms do not belong on a snowmobile. They belong on older F150"s and Explorers. My wife even questioned me putting Mountain Cat handlebars on my Cat. I told her it was all about ergonomics. All I know is I was way more comfortable with this set up. The biggest difference I made was the M10 suspension I finally installed.

You can see my WRP and stock seat on the listing I have for my sled. I am 7 foot tall, 300+ lbs suited up, loved the seat. Big difference over stock for me.

Long shot but any chance you'd be willing to sell the WRP seat separately? Will pay top dollar.

That's a fair request, as it's worth more on it's own selling to an apex owner. As it adds little value to the Apex to a new buyer who will not put value on it until they get a few miles under their belt.

Not willing to sell WRP at this time. If sled sells with the WRP seat, I will circle back.

Foam comes in today from Idaho!!! Time to go to Harbor Freight and pick up their $22 Air Stapler. As I found out the Rigid my wife has, only does brad nails, no staples. I should pull a few of the stock staples to determine how long of staples I need to buy. Unless anyone has any guesses or advice?
Maybe I can get this project knocked out before we go in search of snow this weekend!! WOO WOO!!

Did the same thing!!! The stapler works awesome. 1/4 inch for most of it, and some 3/8 where overlapped worked fine. Push the stapler hard into the material against the plastic seat and fire...they will be in good!Foam comes in today from Idaho!!! Time to go to Harbor Freight and pick up their $22 Air Stapler.
