Hello,
has anyone ever had the center shock on an XTX break??
Riding a couple of weeks ago in variable conditions, my center shock broke, shaft in half, body of the shock destroyed. It appears somehow the valve stack got cocked sideways causing the shaft to break and destroy the shock.
cant find anything wrong with skid.
any thoughts?? anyone have one break?
thanks in advance

I did search this quit exstensively, and there are a ton of topics with guys with short tracks having issue blowing out the center shocks due to resrticted flow between the ressi and the shock.
also found a couple of people with xtx rear shock issues, however have yet to find a topic with a blown xtx center shock.
could you send me a link??
thanks in advance

Most people are having trouble with the rear shock on the XTX not the centre...I have read of people blowing the centre shock when their limiter straps have failed. Are your straps OK?

The person that I bought my 121 Nytro from said that he broke the center shock.
He said the rear shock was bumping the center shock pretty bad(which I was unsure of and skeptical at the time)...I noticed that he set the rear limiter straps a couple notches tighter.
I haven't put that many miles on yet, but don't seem to be having any problems with the tighter straps.
