I would think your insurance would cover all costs. When they order a seat, 14's were all black. Parts have to be replaced it don't matter what colors you choose
Maybe pull your brothers secondary and or weights and see where your at compared to his. Post results. Be interesting to see.

Didn't get my brothers clutching apart. I think I will purchase a clutch kit. Or buy a V-max secondary and tune it. Not impressed with the stock clutching.
Plan on installing handle bar risers and a custom graphic kit for sure this summer. I will post pics when we get it done!

Last winter ordered ulmers clutching. He sends a spring and primary weights. This helped a lot with keeping the engine rpm where it should be. He also has you adjust or re clock the secondary spring.
I can not remember the exact engine RPMs with the ulmer kit and stock secondary clutch. But it worked much better. Top speeds came up. But it still didn't seem to work as good as it should. Still had lots of belt dust. Lots of clutch heat. It liked to eat belts on wot lake or rail grade runs.
I had been cleaning and polishing the secondary ramps and cleaning it often. I tried less lube on the secondary the last trip we had up north last season. I was thinking the lube was collecting belt dust and causing it to hang up. This was a bad idea. The secondary bushings ground down. Basically the entire secondary needed to be rebuilt.
Over the summer I called up Allan ulmer again. I had him put together a v-max secondary. He had everything set up for me. Just bolt on and go. With his weights and the secondary he set up it is a completely different sled. I can get 82 mph on the dreamo meter. We haven't got a lot of miles on the setup yet only about 300. But it works much better. With the v-max secondary the rpms did come back up some. Think I just need to do some more tuning to the clutching. On a few WOT runs I pulled over and checked the clutch heat. They were only warm. You couldn't touch them any time before.
I also added frog skin cooling vents to the clutch side plastic last season to try to keep the belt and clutching cooler. This didn't cure anything. But it should have helped.
My first advice is I wouldn't buy a Phazer again. This clutching is absolute garbage. If you do want it to function you will need to do clutching. My brother's sled has a stock secondary but it has a different helix. His clutching works great. So you can get stock clutches to work. I went the easy route and had Ulmer set me up. Season is too short to be working on sleds the entire time.

The Vmax secondary fixes lots of issues,3000 miles on current belts and that's a lot of off trail abuse too!

Hello guy's, I did some clutch work with my xtx phazer last year, in the end it went something like this, Smt Bro's comfort kit with stage two helix, 17 t top gear with Smt bro's custom weights 5.3 gram if I remember correctly the screw set up they offer do not work on the phazer clutching, stage 2 helix in secondary and secondary left in stock position of 1A , rpm was around 11500-11700 with me on the machine on hard pack at around 128 -130khm (75-78mph) I did not push any faster, in breaking trail in the soft and deep rpm was around 11000 the helix really shined in this area, hole shot was really quick to 70mph would give any 600 a run for the money, there is still room for improvement maybe move to a 18 top gear with this set up but I was not interested in top end, I ride any where from 0-60mph 95% of the time, I traded up this year one of my riding buddies bought mine so I still get to see it perform and watch my buddy have a blast in the trails once he learns how to ride it, I moved to a 2016 Apex 146 1 3/4 lug, hoping I didn't make a mistake trading up. thanks
