I got 82 mph so far with studs on my XTX after slow 6,000 rpm 100 mile break in. That was close to 8,000 rpm on a road up a grade

Have you had the chance to line up against a viper yet to compare? Seen in 1 video that there was a nytro that got a good jump on everyone and hung right there for a bit. Would love to see some videos of a viper vs apex. Been tryin to convince dad to get his out but he is a fair weather warrior, 30 degrees or warmer otherwise it's stayin in the garage lol. I predict a viper will jump 1-2 sled lengths on an apex and hang there til prolly 90. I raced a nytro half a dozen times with my viper. Viper was no doubt much faster off the line. Once my clutching got dialed in it would run prolly 5-10 mph faster in 1000' than the nytro. Very pleased with the all around power and speed of my ltx and I'm sure the xtx will be darn close to that!
I did line up with the viper. It was'nt close at all, he did'nt have as good of studding for a hole shot nad on a roll race was'nt much better. Maybe it will be better once that sled I run breaks in. I am going to say faster than a nytro.
Since that day with the sleds witrh the radar, I found out the 1200 do that i thought to be stock had a header and a gutted muffler. so it's 102 vs 99 for a new and tight viper is now looking even better for the viper in time to come.
Most of they videos you saw were at an imformal lake race, that bring guys there for hundreds of miles away, and I did'nt know the sleds of how modded they were and there were really fast turbo ones.
Mine is 87 top speed and that's also what the gps said.

I got 93 this morning on a tiny lake with 2' of untouched snow on it. only 146 miles on it so did not hold it open she still had a long way to go I have stock gears with overdrive sheaves oh and the TURBO!!! That was in less than 400 ft.

I only have 65mi on mine so I'm trying to be easy on it, but I cracked it open once and hit 80 something and it felt like it had a whole lot more there! That and I had the feeling I was going to fall off the sled backwards. What a torque monster coming off my RX1!
75. Short burst, under 8 miles on sled tff. Does that help? Haha.

good to hear guys, Mine has 50 miles on it, hit 80 mph but was only pulling 8300 rpm. Hope mine will get faster when she breaks in!

Go read a site called mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets (or some such).........FWIW.......you don't have to believe him, but it is interesting
I broke my RX-1 in "by the book" and with the 06 Nytro I "rode it like I stole it"...........both are well over 15k miles and want to guess which engine is stronger relative to it's siblings?
With the turbo and overdrive I got to 100 very easily with plenty left in her this weekend once I crossed 250 miles. The thing pulls the skis a foot on launch and carries them to 90 if you stay in it.

Out on the river, some hard pack with very smooth conditions. No studs, XTX with 96 miles now. Did 6 start ups - all of them till the sled fan came on....waiting 2 minutes watching gauge, then shut down to fully cool. 87 octane, tach read 8400 - 8500 and anywhere between 93-98 tucked down. Saw 101 once but I was never able to duplicate. (GPS read a best of 97)
I will be playing with some clutching when I get on the trail. Thing has some serious grunt on bottome end tho so I mainly want to figure out top end performance.

I am cracking 8860 RPMS at wot then she drops back to 8780ish as it shifts out. I don't now how much boost yet getting the AFR and boost gauges in this week. I think with the overdrive I will get a gps of 104 to 106.
