without power steering. I have never ridden a snowmobile that turns as hard as this thing does. This thing makes all of my other sleds seem like they had power steering. I have to really put some grunt into it to turn the bars. What is the easiest way to take some down pressure off from the skis?
Make sure the steering mechanism is free sounds like it might be jammed with something.

Are you running aggressive skis or stockers?
Aggressive skis require quite a bit of oomph on hard packed, set up trails. I found slow speed turning to be a P.I.T.A even with the stock skis.
Not sure on the xtx, but on the shorties, guys were adjusting center shock preload(more) & front shock preload(less). Have you adjusted anything yet?
I assumed on an XTX, due to the huge footprint, you'd have a slight push in the corners & very light steering. wierd
I'm sure the experts will chime in & help you setup your rig.

Yes,Turning this sled at slow speeds in any conditions is a job. THat was last year with stock skis and now I have Razors,Should be real fun trying to turn this baby at low speeds.

if your pulling the straps tighter your just increasing the weight on the skis you want to do the opposite.

Very true, and if you loosen it up to much you will not be able to keep the sled down.

Agreed, soften front ski shocks pressure, increase center shock pressure, increase weight transfer couplers in the rear suspension. All this will help to decrease harsh steering. Your owner's manual tells you how to do this.

Mine are a bit tough at slow speeds. Once I get moving though it feels good. I point, it shoots. I think this may be from some of the advancements they did to the front geometry.

Push-ups help.

You are 100% correct about that suspension set up I have USI skis and put on 400 miles on my 09 Nytro SE last weekend and the first day on stock setting's I wasn't very impressed. Some adjusting with the center shock, air in floats etc totally different sled LOVED IT!!
