y-pipe advice needed

Buddy has an 06 Apex with a broken flange on the RH side y-pipe.
Is it cheaper to purchase just 1 titanium RH side y-pipe or purchase both the stainless y-pipes?
Which would you suggest?, he just bought the sled so it will be a keeper for 2-3 years probably.
Also where is the best place to purchase these pipes, both U.S. or Canada?

I do not think you can buy titanium pipes from yamaha they will up graded to the steel pipes.

I'd replace both with the stainless now. The other one will break soon enough, probably cracked already. It's a pain of a job and you don't want to do twice.

60 bucks is one hell of a deal.

$60 , seriously?, at yamaha national they list for $138 a piece usd.
There is a guy on kijiji that wants $250 for a pair

Ebay has a flange repair kit pretty cheap. $135 gets you 4 flanges, doughnuts and new bolts. I would go with new stainless pipes myself but this is another option.

you may be able to get a used set of TI pipes from a site sponser for about the price of one new ss one there is a reason the switched to the ss ones. like others have said not a fun job to have to do again in the middle of next season.if you get a good used low mile set they will last awhile but not as long as the new ss set. also a chance to consider a whole exhaust upgrade to add some extra hp and if you like better sound. be sure everything is good and tight when you put it back together and i now started checking the whole exhaust as pm every year and found it to be loose in one spot or anouther every year and that is the main reason they break by having movement.

i did both pipes over to stainless this season. $325.00 ish with tax
for both. I think one was $138.00 and the other was $148.00.
Trying to go by memory. i'm close
